Our Team

The Arkansas Blockchain Council is an industry association that works to promote blockchain educaton and adoption and works to support the interests of the blockchain industry.  Our purpose is to bring together the power of our member companies to support laws and policies that favor blockchain technology. We also aim to teach government officials about the advantages of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.

Eric Peterson

 

Eric Peterson is a graduate of Tulane University with over a decade in state policy initiates. During that time, he has worked both in Washington D.C. and state capitals around the country promoting pro innovation policies. Eric is policy director for the Satoshi Action Fund. He is currently a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana

 

Jake Claver

Jake Claver is a top-performing business leader, keynote speaker, and performance expert. Over the past decade, he has built a prolific consulting business and continues to work with the best and brightest clients. Providing high-output business success for ambitious, growth-oriented clients is Jake’s passion.

Jake’s experience includes market analysis, financial oversight, profitability assessment, risk management, financial strategy development, operations optimization, and organizational restructuring.

His expertise in implementing emerging blockchain & web3 technologies such as smart contracts, NFTs, DAOs, and the metaverse has given his clients a significant advantage over their competitors.

Ben Smith

Ben Smith

Benjamin Smith is the President of the Arkansas Blockchain Council. Born in Santa Anna, California, to two Arkansas natives, he moved to Marion, Arkansas, when he was 2 years old due to his father’s service in the Marine Corps. Smith grew up in Marion and graduated from high school there in 2007.

Unsure of his path after high school, Smith joined the Marion Fire Department as a volunteer, which planted the seed of community service deep within him. He became an EMT and later attended Paramedic school at Arkansas State University. Throughout his career, Smith worked as a medic/firefighter for West Memphis Fire Department and flew with Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital on their neo-natal helicopter as a medic.

Currently residing in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Smith owns two Bitcoin mining companies. He continues to serve his community by maintaining his medic license and occasionally working on local ambulances. Bitcoin holds a special place in Smith’s heart, and he aspires to spread the love and education of the Bitcoin community throughout Arkansas.

Max Avery

Max Avery

Max Avery is a founder and business leader from Fort Smith, Arkansas. He has worked across multiple industries in leadership roles including telco, M&A, real estate, software & manufacturing solutions as well as education and consulting. Max also serves as Vice Chair of the Arkansas District Export Council and a member of the NSBA Leadership Council.
